Stress and other challenges often follow us into the workplace, and for those struggling with opioid dependency, the risks can be even more serious. As Chief Prevention Officer in Ontario, Dr. Joel Moody champions the prevention of workplace injury, illness, and death.
One growing cause of workplace safety concern is the opioid overdose epidemic. Dr. Moody joined Countermeasures to speak about what he has seen happening surrounding worker well-being and safety in the time of the opioid crisis and what Ontario is doing to ensure that all workplaces are prepared in the case of an opioid emergency.
This episode looks at efforts to create safer, more supportive work environments, including initiatives to make naloxone accessible, and build recovery-friendly workplaces.
