Short and Long-Term Incentive programs create a powerful way to reward results and behavior that support our strategy, the commitments embodied in our mission, and our culture and core values. Our programs support our pay-for-performance philosophy, and enhance our total compensation package. Competitive bonuses and equity awards are granted subject to eligibility based on company, group, and individual performance (both results and behavior, because we value how we do things, and not just getting them done).

Our mission is to protect and enhance life.  This includes the lives of our valued employees and their family members.  We are committed to supporting our employees and their family members to manage and improve their overall health and well-being. The Health and Wellness Community is composed of sub-committees across each of our sites.  Each of these sub-committees works diligently to bring in Health and Wellness related speakers, initiatives and fitness related informational sessions to the sites based upon employee interest.

We offer access to on-site fitness centers at several of our facilities where various fitness programs such as Yoga and Zumba are held, in addition to special events. These programs encourage employees to eat well, exercise and participate in various fitness challenges and other activities. Also, our fitness reimbursement program reimburses eligible expenses for a variety of wellness activities including gym memberships, activity trackers, etc.

ShapeUp Program

ShapeUp is an optional web-based program that engages employees via a social network platform for a variety of peer-generated challenges.  Employees may be challenged with healthy eating or the ability to join in a walking program where you and peer team members complete a walking regiment. The ShapeUp membership is a company paid benefit for all employees.

At Emergent, we protect life. That means we not only care about the lives of our patients but we also care about the lives of our employees. We recognize that the demands on our lives are many and by embracing a culture of flexibility, our employees can better meet the competing demands of their personal and professional lives. Our Friday Hours program provides employees with the flexibility to work their core hours in advance of the last day of the week, and take Friday afternoon to pursue other personal and professional interests. Emergent offers programs that allow flexibility, and continually looks for ways to enhance the work-life balance of our employees.

Our employees and their family members are eligible to participate in the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP is available to all regular full-time and limited term employees including those not enrolled in our health benefits. The EAP is designed to help employees and their families deal with a variety of situations that affect the quality of their life. They will provide professional and confidential support toward resolving employee concerns. Services provided through this employee benefit are typically provided at no cost to the employee. In some cases, services can be coordinated with the employees’ medical plan for coverage.

The EAP is available to all regular full-time and limited term employees including those not enrolled in our health benefits. The EAP is designed to help employees and their families deal with a variety of situations that affect the quality of their life. They will provide professional and confidential support toward resolving employee concerns. Services provided through this employee benefit are typically provided at no cost to the employee.
