Jessica Liebster on Aging During the Opioid Crisis

Jessica Liebster, Registered Social Worker and Case Manager at West Neighbourhood House, Toronto, Ontario

Older adults are highly impacted by the opioid crisis and often overlooked. For some, it is a result of the opioid medications prescribed for chronic pain, while others have struggled with a substance use disorder for decades.
